The beauty & benefits of indoor plants

This is the time of year that you’ll probably find more indoor plants for sale at plant nurseries and big box stores. So taking the time now to tout their attributes seems well, befitting. Plants can add natural beauty to both exterior and interior spaces. Plants also clean the air which can become stagnant and trap airborne allergens and pollutants as we keep doors and windows shut longer during the upcoming cold months. You can place plants in subtly-styled, Zen-inspired pots or more ornate and colorful containers to enhance their natural appearance. Available plant container sizes, materials, styles and colors are seemingly endless! I now have about twenty plants of various species and sizes located in just about every room in my home. Some of them have grown quite a bit over the last 14-15 years old, are quite healthy and require very little maintenance. Start with a few plants.
